The oil is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a density of about 0.89 g/mL at 25°C and a refractive index of 1.46–1.47. It is soluble in fixed oils, ethanol, and propylene glycol, but practically insoluble in water. It should be stored in a cool, dark place to prevent oxidation and resinification.
