Sodium Taurocholate Hydrate

Sodium taurocholate hydrate is the sodium salt of taurocholic acid, a naturally occurring bile salt formed by the conjugation of cholic acid with taurine. It is a key component of bile in mammals and plays a central role in lipid digestion and absorption. This product is supplied as a white to off-white crystalline powder with an HPLC purity of ≥98%, and is available in research and bulk quantities.

With its amphiphilic structure, sodium taurocholate hydrate is widely used as a biological detergent, a solubilizing agent, and a model bile salt in pharmaceutical and biochemical research.
