Glucoraphanin is a naturally occurring glucosinolate, found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, and kale. It’s the stable precursor to sulforaphane, a compound widely studied for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. In the body, glucoraphanin is converted to sulforaphane by the enzyme myrosinase, which is activated when the plant cells are damaged — think chopping or chewing.
