Taurocholic acid (CAS 81-24-3) is a naturally occurring conjugated bile acid, formed by the amidation of cholic acid with taurine. It is a key component of bile in mammals, where it facilitates the emulsification and absorption of dietary fats and fat-soluble vitamins.
