Phenolphthalein

Phenolphthalein (CAS 77-09-8) is a well-known pH indicator and a classic laxative agent with a long history of pharmaceutical use. As a triarylmethane compound, it exhibits a distinct color transition from colorless to pink in the pH range of 8.2–10.0, making it a staple in analytical chemistry and titration applications.
