Grifolan

Grifolan (CAS 9051-97-2) is a branched beta-1,3/1,6-glucan isolated from the fruiting body of Grifola frondosa, the mushroom known as Maitake. Our product is manufactured through hot water extraction, alcohol precipitation, and subsequent purification to yield a polysaccharide fraction with a beta-glucan content of ≥70%. The material is presented as a free-flowing, off-white powder, standardized for consistent biological activity and suitable for use in functional food, dietary supplement, and cosmetic applications.

With a molecular weight typically in the range of 500–1000 kDa, Grifolan exhibits well-documented immunomodulatory properties, primarily through activation of macrophages and dendritic cells via dectin-1 and TLR-2/4 signaling pathways. This makes it a valuable ingredient in products targeting immune support, gut health, and overall wellness.
