Ácido desoxicólico

Deoxycholic acid (CAS 83-44-3) is a secondary bile acid formed in the colon by microbial 7α-dehydroxylation of cholic acid. It is supplied as a white to off-white crystalline powder with ≥98% purity (HPLC), specifically graded for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical research. This grade is intended for use in formulation development, analytical reference standards, and regulated applications.

As a naturally occurring emulsifier, deoxycholic acid plays a critical role in lipid solubilization and membrane protein extraction. Its amphiphilic structure makes it a valuable tool for preparing liposomal delivery systems, as well as for studying bile acid metabolism and signaling pathways.
