Thaumatin

Thaumatin is a natural high-intensity sweetener and flavor modifier extracted from the arils of Thaumatococcus daniellii, a plant native to West Africa. Our product is a purified protein complex, standardized to ≥98% protein content by HPLC, with a sweetness potency approximately 2000 times that of sucrose on a weight basis. It is supplied as a free-flowing powder, ideal for use in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical formulations where a clean, sweet profile with minimal caloric contribution is required.

Beyond sweetness, thaumatin is valued for its ability to enhance and round out flavor profiles, masking off-notes from high-intensity sweeteners, bitter actives, and certain APIs. Its heat stability and solubility across a wide pH range make it a versatile ingredient for both liquid and solid dosage forms, as well as for oral care and confectionery applications.
