Tetrahydrocucumin

Tetrahydrocucumin (CAS 36062-04-1) is the hydrogenated derivative of curcumin, the principal polyphenol in turmeric. It retains the conjugated diene system but with reduced double bonds, which enhances its stability and bioavailability compared to its parent compound. We supply this as a high-purity grade, ≥98% by HPLC, in a white to off-white powder form, suitable for formulation into capsules, tablets, and other dosage forms.

In the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical R&D space, tetrahydrocucumin is often used as a reference standard and as an active ingredient for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory applications. Its improved metabolic stability makes it a preferred choice in studies exploring curcumin’s in vivo effects.
